Jennifer King
Biography
Dr. Jennifer King is a pediatric and adolescent sports medicine physician who has a special interest in dance medicine. She is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at Cooper University Hospital/Children’s Regional Center in Camden, New Jersey. Dr. King received her Fellowship training in Primary Care Sports Medicine at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center/K Hovnanian Children’s Hospital in Neptune, New Jersey and Rutgers University. She is currently Board Certified in Sports Medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Dr. King’s practice is based out of Kapi‘olani Bone and Joint Center at Kapi‘olani Women and Children’s Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawai‘i. She also has a satellite clinic at Pali Momi Medical Center. She is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, AAP Council for Sports Medicine, and American Medical Society of Sports Medicine. She serves on the Sports Medicine Advisory Board for the Hawai‘i High School Athletic Association. She is a medical advisor and speaker for the Hawai‘i Concussion Assessment and Management Program. She is also a board member for Ballet Hawai‘i, Hawai‘i Orthopedic and Performance Education, HuTT 808, and her community association board. She co-chairs the annual HPH Sports Medicine Symposium and speaks annually at summer intensive programs for Ballet Hawai‘i. She provides medical consultation for Kamehameha Schools athletes. She is also an assistant professor at the University of Hawai’i John A. Burns School of Medicine and serves at the rotation director for Pediatric Sports Medicine.
